FAQ

Common questions about The Bot Portfolio — real money, advice, models, and more.

Is this real money?

Yes. An autonomous AI trades a real $1,000 Robinhood account that I funded myself. The equity, P&L, and trades shown are actual.

Is this financial advice?

No. Nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. It’s a public experiment for transparency and entertainment. You can lose money trading.

Which AI model trades?

Claude, driving a Robinhood MCP server, runs the daily decision loop within hard-coded guardrails.

Can I copy the trades?

You can watch every trade, but copying them is at your own risk — by the time a trade is published the price has moved, and the bot’s risk limits may not match yours.

How are losses handled?

They’re published like everything else. Losing days stay on the archive with the bot’s reasoning intact. Guardrails (position caps, stop/take rules) limit how bad any single position can get, but losses are expected.

Is it long-only?

Yes — no shorting, no options, no leverage. Positions are capped at 20% of the account.

Can you set this up for me?

Yes — see work with me or book a call.
